Walking therapy allows you to be outside, free in the environment.
Working with emotions while walking allows you to move energy around, finding emotional pain that may have been stored in our body. By walking and working with this emotional trauma we can find a release that is quite different from the counselling room.
Walking also allows you to gain some physical nourishment creating endorphins that help you feel better. Walking in nature allow you to bring awareness to your body and senses, creating more awareness that we may have not noticed before.
This could be the smells in the air, the temperature on your skin, the feel of the ground under your feet or hands, seeing colours and creatures. The more you work with this more grounded you feel and in return helping you ground yourself when you are struggling
Just like one to one counselling we will work at your pace and challenge you to find new prospective.
Once you have booked a session, we will send you information of the location of the walk and clarify anything via email or text, reducing the need for you to worry about an unexpected call.
